Características
The scarlet macaw is a large bird with vibrant, predominantly red plumage and blue and green wings. It can measure up to 90 cm in length and weigh about 1.5 kg. It has a strong, curved beak adapted for cracking hard seeds.
Ocorrência
These macaws are found in the tropical forests of South America, including the Amazon and the Pantanal. They prefer humid forests and areas near rivers and lakes.
Comportamento
