The Atos & Cenas Theatre Company was founded on September 22, 1989, in the city of Lençóis Paulista (SP) with the objective of promoting theatre and consequently art. Over the years, the company has solidified its foundations and established itself as a theatrical reference in the interior of São Paulo state. It was once a production center of the Cooperativa Paulista de Teatro (São Paulo Theatre Cooperative), and today it has its own CNPJ (Brazilian tax ID). It maintained its headquarters at the Casa da Cultura “Profª. Maria Bove Coneglian” for 24 years, and currently has its headquarters at Espaço Atos & Cenas, where it conducts rehearsals, research, workshops, courses, and various projects, as well as seasons of its productions.
